Welcome to North Wales

A customer from Chester Le Street who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Try Caesars Restaurant by the river in LLangollen centre. You will get a very warm welcome and food cooked to order. Chirk Castle and Erddig are both National Trust properties and well worth a visit especially for the home cooked food on offer in the restaurants Llangollen proved a wonderful centre for touring with great scenery and good road network and the Wild Pheasant Hotel proved an excellent base.

A Great Holiday In Llangollen

A customer from OTLEY who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

The Wild Pheasant hotel is in a beautiful location at the foot of welsh hills and is easily accessible, being at the side of the main route through the town (but not particularly busy/noisy). The staff were extremely helpful and were courteous at all times despite a few problems for them as new owners had taken over a few days before our visit and were in the process of changing things. A visit to Llangollen steam railway (just down the road) was very pleasant. Not too busy as we got there early-trains run 3 times a a day at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. A very scenic route through winding valleys and beside the river on a comfortable steam train-only ?8 per adult return (a bargain for the length of the journey). A cosy little cafe at each end makes a good cup of tea at a reasonable price! Not much to actually see in the town itself (there is a barge pulled by a shire horse for another scenic trip out) and it was extremely busy. Also a great lack of places to eat made it quite an expensive holiday having to eat at the hotel-but the meals are excellent. Well worth a visit for peace and quiet and the scenery. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wild Pheasant Hotel Spa Package

A customer from Merseyside who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

The food was absolutely delicious and there was a wide variety of choice for breakfast, lunch and the evening meal. The spa was beautiful and the treatments were out of this world; the staff in the "Spa of Tranquility" made the stay very relaxing. However, the room we were given was not what we expected and after experiencing such a lovely day in the chef's bar and the spa, we were somewhat disappointed with it's condition. Although, we were upgraded by the manager and were given a much newer, fresher room and were more than happy with its facilities. The staff at the hotel were all very polite and welcoming.
