Where To Go in Cardiff

We visited the Welsh Museum of Life, which has a wide variety of things to interest all ages. There were animals, old time miners houses, traditional craft and bakery shops and an old cone shaped house ALL FOR FREE - great day out. Cardiff Bay is great. Allbeit we visited on a rainy day there is still plenty to do. We visited the Red Dragon Centre where they had a Dr Who exhibition (as it's filmed in Cardiff) much to the delight of my 5 year old son. We also took a water taxi over to the barrage - like a big lock for ships to enter the bay. Interesting commentry on the way.Chepstow Castle was quite interesting. They had people dressed in traditional costumes playing traditional games and making jewellry. They even did a traditional puppet show based on George and the Dragon. Bit overpriced but worth a visit.

Weekend visit to Cardiff

Primarily our visit to Cardiff was to go to the Wales V France rugby game in the Millenium stadium. A first for our 6 year old son. We were not disappointed with the ocassion despite Wales losing. Our son thoroughly enjoyed. We had also booked to see the show Scooby Doo in Cardiff Millenium Theatre. The theatre is a must to visit and our son enjoyed the show. A bonus was the French market and other events in Cardiff Bay on the bank holiday weekend in August. Combined with the gorgeous weather it was wonderful strolling in Cardiff Bay.
