Overall Rating (4 out of 5)

This beautiful region is extremely diverse and quintessentially Welsh. Prestatyn is a great seaside destination shielded by mountains and surrounded by great countryside. Snowdonia National Park is fantastic for walking and Snowdon is one of the greatest attractions. Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful area offering waterfalls, hill-top lakes and ancient bridges.

Bettws-y-Coed

A customer from LIVERPOOL who stayed at 3* Craig-y-Dderwen Riverside Hotel in Betws-y-Coed wrote this review.

Visit to Swallow Falls and scenic roads around the area, spectacular views across the landscape. Many small villages to explore as well as towns like Lincoln and York, all worthwhile.

An Unspoilt Picturesque Beauty

A customer who stayed at 3* Chainbridge Hotel in Llangollen wrote this review.

With the racing river dee looking out the window and the lazy llangollen canal 6 feet from the front door the chainbridge hotel is in a real gem of a location. Walk the canal to town centre 2 miles down, then take one of many routes depending on ability taking in sites like horseshoe pass and dinas bran castle eventually ending up back at the hotel, or for the more nostalgic grab the old style carriage steam train back to the chainbridge. Ideally situated on the A5,most of north Wales top attractions can be reached in an hour, but allow more time to take in the breathtaking scenery. This really is the place to be if your in to walks, site seeing, history, relaxation, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, steam trains, slate mines, castles and monasteries.
