The third largest city in Wales, Newport stands on the banks of the River Usk. A city of contrasts where the cathedral, castle and Roman walls mingle with high-tech developments. Newport's most famous landmark, the Transporter Bridge can you take you across the river by gondola!

Visit to Newport, Gwent
A customer who stayed at 3* Express by Holiday Inn Newport in Newport wrote this review.
I went to Newport on business. Our meeting was held at the Velodrome, which is not widely known in Newport. We were entertained at Newport Rugby Club and saw an international match whilst there. Newport Rugby Club has excellent catering facilities. You may have to wait for taxi's

In the area for family wedding and get together. Nearby Caerleon very interesting and we were fortunate to have lovely weather. We had family function on Friday evening so did not eat in restaurants

Parkway Hotel
A customer who stayed at 4* Parkway Hotel in Cwmbran/Newport wrote this review.
Our hotl was out of this world:) We stayed in it the whole weekend, didn't need to go out. We're very fussy when it comes to cleanliness so this hotel totally went off the rictor scale as far as this went very very good, we even did a test with tooth paste under the wash basin and it was gone when bathroom was cleaned, food was fabulous and service was equally great, should be 6star place as far as we're concerned. Thank you for an enjoyable, stress free stay.

Our break in Cymbran and the Great Western Parkway Hotel started excellently and finished excellently. The location had beautiful views and the people extremly pleasant. I found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I can sum up the quality of the Restaurant and food as superb and should be tried.
